Introduction
Trackwallet ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). The App is developed and maintained by Augustinas Abromavičius, an independent developer based in Lithuania.
By using Trackwallet, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you use Trackwallet, you manually enter financial information including:
- Transaction details (amounts, dates, descriptions, categories, merchant names)
- Account information (account names, balances, types)
- Budget data (budget amounts, categories, time periods)
- Subscription and recurring payment information
- Notes and custom categories
- Currency preferences
- Email address (only if you choose to create an optional account for backup purposes)
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
To provide and improve our services, we automatically collect certain information through third-party services:

- Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports, device state information, app version, and technical diagnostic data
- Google Play Services: Basic device and app interaction data as required for app functionality
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:

- App Improvement: To analyze app usage patterns, identify bugs, fix crashes, and improve user experience
- Technical Support: To respond to your support requests and troubleshoot issues
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage (Primary)
Your financial data is stored locally on your device by default. The App is designed to work completely offline, and your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to use the optional cloud backup feature. Local data is protected by Android's built-in security mechanisms, including device encryption (on non-rooted devices).
3.2 Optional Cloud Storage
If you create an account and choose to back up your data:
- Backups are stored in Firebase Storage (Google Cloud infrastructure)
- Data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections
- You control when backups occur
- You can restore your data on a new device by logging into your account
3.3 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS protocols
- Encryption of local data using Android's security features
- Firebase Authentication for secure account access
However, please note that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
